Hike along to the dedication of a new two-mile nature trail on Electric Island in Lake Hamilton.

Arkansas Game and Fish recently worked with TNC to build a 2-mile nature trail on Electric Island in Lake Hamilton. It's a neat place!

Please arrive at the Andrew H. Hulsey State Fish Hatchery boat ramp by 9 a.m. to ride a boat shuttle or join a guided, 1-mile paddle to the island. We will have brief remarks, followed by refreshments and a hike on the new trail.

Directions (get the map)

From the intersection of Arkansas Highway 7 and County Road 290 in Garland County, travel east on 290 about 3 miles to Fish Hatchery Road. Follow Fish Hatchery Road beyond the AGFC office to the boat ramp. The hatchery’s address is 350 Fish Hatchery Road.
