Climate Watch 2024

Use your birding skills to advance the understanding of climate change's impact on birds!

Climate Watch is Audubon’s biannual community science program that enlists volunteer bird-lovers across North America to tally for twelve target bird species—and our winter session begins on January 15 and runs through February 15.

Want to help create a brighter future for
the birds we all love?

coordinators for Hot Springs Village are Christopher & Jenny Rabion, ra8soso@yahoo.com

Jenny Rabion reported that Arkansas did about 50 blocks of surveys during the 2023 breeding season and that puts us in 4th place across the country! Fourth place is pretty awesome especially since we don’t have near the numbers of birders as do GA, NC, SC. HSV Audubon had the most blocks of all the AR Audubon chapters.

Counting and documenting where birds are today and how they’re responding to a shifting climate is essential to protecting them tomorrow—and we need your help to do just that.

If you can identify any of these birds you’re ready for Climate Watch
