HSV Audubon Society Endowment Fund

The HSV Audubon Society has an endowment fund which is designed to provide funds in perpetuity for use by the Society for projects and educational programs such as the annual Halberg Ecology Camp scholarships for local youth.

This endowment is under the fiduciary care of the Arkansas Community Foundation (ARCF), and provides about 4% per year based on the current value of the endowment. Presently, we have about $14,000 in the fund. Any donation made helps to grow the principal, making the income earned increase, and thus providing more funds for Audubon projects and programs.

• You can help grow this fund in many ways:

• You can donate in memory of a deceased friend or family member.

• You can donate in honor of a friend for a special achievement.

• You can donate part of your mandatory RMDs (if of age) and decrease your taxable income.

• You can make a charitable donation and deduct from your taxes – in accordance with current laws.

• You can leave money through your will. (Consult your tax advisor for this and other ways to donate.)

As this endowment is managed through the ARCF, checks should be made out to ARCF, with HSV Audubon Society noted on the memo line.
