RAPTOR REHAB OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS
Thursday, September 12, 2024
Coronado Center Auditorium
Popular speaker Rodney Paul, director of Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas, will return to the Coronado Center auditorium on Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. to speak to Audubon members and guests about the latest efforts of Raptor Rehab.
The stated mission of the organization is to “provide quality care and rehabilitation for ill, injured or orphaned birds of prey with the goal of their release back into the wild.”
Raptor Rehab is located in El Paso, Arkansas, and staff members work closely with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission to identify and rescue injured or orphaned raptors.
The facility has over 3,000 square feet of flight pens, where raptors are lovingly cared for until they are able to return to their natural habitats.
Paul will bring a couple of his “ambassadors,” such as Titus the barn owl or Shaheen the peregrine falcon or any of the other rescued raptors who travel with Paul to venues across the state to educate the public about these birds of prey, their role in the environment, and current laws governing migratory birds.
The talk will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, 10 a.m., in the Coronado Center auditorium.
The event is open to the public and free of charge.
