2025 HSV CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT (CBC) SIGN UP
The 2025 CBC will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025. Deadline to sign up is at the end of the Audubon meeting on Thursday, December 11.
In the comments section, please note whether you will be able to bird all day. Preference will be given to those who can bird all day, but we will do our best to accommodate those who can only bird part of the day. If birding all day is a problem, please consider doing backyard birding on the day of the CBC.
The field teams will be constructed AFTER sign-up closes on December 11. You will be notified by your team leader that weekend about your team, time to meet, etc.
Backyard birders will be sent complete instructions for participating by the Backyard CBC Coordinator prior to December 13.
We will try to accommodate all special requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do that.
What is Christmas Bird Count?
Count birds for a day, identify species, tally results, and report to a national monitor - along with thousands of other citizens. Repeat the process annually for over a century.
That's Christmas Bird Count, the nation's longest-running citizen science bird project.
