Bald Eagles

Eagle season in Arkansas is upon us! How did we get here exactly? In this presentation, we will venture through the rough beginnings of the bald eagle, ending with its present-day triumph.

With October being the earliest month for spotting migrating eagles, we will also discuss some tips and tricks to finding them while you explore the Natural State.

THE SPEAKER

Reana Nelson has worked as a park interpreter for Arkansas State Parks since May 2022. She received a BS in Wildlife and Field Biology from Henderson State University just prior to her career journey.

Starting at Petit Jean State Park as a seasonal worker, she now works full time at DeGray Lake Resort State Park, where she enjoys sharing park history, the beauty of creation, and fostering unforgettable experiences for park guests.

Some of her personal hobbies include tree and plant identification, playing guitar, backpacking, and writing.
