Our annual search for the Painted Bunting will be Saturday, June 9th. Our destination is Ed Gordon Point Remove WMA west of Morrillton.
Last year was tough but we finally got great looks at one at our final spot. Scouting this week suggests that they should be easy but no guarantees.
We will meet at the East Gate parking area in time to carpool and leave at 7:00. We usually stop somewhere in Morrillton for lunch and then head back to the Village.
Very little walking involved and boots are not needed. Consider the trip cancelled in case of nasty weather but it is wise to check the weather for there as it can differ from here.
