2023 HSV AUDUBON SOCIETY CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT (CBC)
If you are interested in participating in the HSV Audubon Society CBC this year, please read the following BEFORE you complete the sign-up sheet or sign up on our website.
HSV Audubon Society will have a Christmas Bird Count this year, barring any unforeseen COVID-19 rise.
The CBC will be held Monday, December 18, from approximately 7:30 am to dusk. We will be doing a field count and a feeder count. We will not reschedule the field count in the event of inclement weather.
There will be no dinner this year. The CBC report will be given at the January 2024 HSV Audubon meeting.
There will be fewer teams this year - only three or four teams. You might not be able to be on your team of choice! Please keep an open mind. Birding a new area with a new leader can be an enriching experience and add to your knowledge of Village birds.
Preference for inclusion in field groups will be given to members who can bird all day, not just certain hours. Feeder birders, as usual, can pick the hours they bird.
WE strongly suggest giving feeder birding a try if you have any concerns about COVID and field birding!!

Please carefully read the 2023 CBC guidelines above before signing up, and remember – PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO ARE AVAILABLE TO BIRD ALL DAY AS A FIELD BIRDER.
