The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a field office at Lake Ouachita and works in conjunction with state park personnel on programs, research, monitoring, etc.
Natural resource specialist Amy Shultz has been at the park for most of her 23-year career with the Corps and will do a presentation on natural resource management at Lake Ouachita.
She will discuss the mission of her office, as well as routine summer and winter duties, which include monitoring the 19 recreation areas around the park, organizing school programs, conducting research and surveys, and working in conjunction with Lake Ouachita State Park staff.

Amy Shultz has been with the Corps of Engineers for 23 years, all of which has been at Lake Ouachita, the first 19 years on field patrol.
She has a degree in biology from Henderon State University.
