HSV Audubon recently launched its “Senior Activity Packet” for distribution to specific area senior facilities, free of charge, as part of its educational outreach program.
The packet, made possible through a Community Foundation grant, consists of a bird activity booklet produced by HSV Audubon, a small bird identification booklet from Arkansas Game and Fish, colored pencils with a sharpener, and an HSV birds bookmark, all packaged in an HSV Audubon tote bag.
HSV Audubon education director Genell Harris said, “The packets are a great way to engage those individuals who might otherwise only be able to observe birds but now can do activities with their observations. This gives them another avenue to enjoy Arkansas’s wonders.”
The activity booklet is a fundraiser for HSV Audubon and features pictures to color (photos courtesy of Vic Prislipsky), games and other activities, with readings from National Audubon. The booklet is for sale for $8 and is available at HSV Audubon meetings or other functions where Audubon takes part.
