I’m pleased to announce that Kathy Jurek has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 HSV Audubon President’s Award.

Kathy has led our flagship Bluebird Monitor Program since 2014, demonstrating outstanding dedication and relentless effort. Her leadership has been instrumental in the continued success of one of our most impactful conservation initiatives.

Additionally, Kathy consistently supports our mission in every way possible—volunteering, mentoring, and inspiring others with her passion for protecting birds and their habitats. She approaches every task with an upbeat attitude, making it a personal pleasure to work with her.

I plan to present the award to Kathy at our next meeting on April 10.
