Kirsten Bartlow Loves Her Skunk Coat

The Natural State is home to an assortment of wildlife and Kirsten Bartlow from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission highlighted the mammals of Arkansas at our October meeting. For the finale she modeled a skunk coat, said to be from the 1940’s.

Kirsten is the Watchable Wildlife Coordinator for ARGF. As an avid outdoorswoman—canoeing, scuba diving, hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting, to name a few—work and pleasure blur together. Current job endeavors include developing wildlife viewing opportunities throughout Arkansas via nature trails and water trails. She delivers a bi-monthly wildlife program on the KARK Noon Show, three monthly wildlife spots on KUAR radio, writes ‘Wild Ideas’ in the Arkansas Wildlife Magazine, and does an assortment of other public outreach programs.

She has earned a B.S. in Middle/Secondary Education and an M.A. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management. Previous employment includes the Blue Ridge Parkway National Park and North Carolina’s Grandfather Mountain.
