Here’s his story:
I experienced an exciting day.
This morning at 9:45 I witnessed the fledging of Wood Ducks from my nesting box. I counted 10 ducklings drop from box, join the hen and swim away on Lake Pineda. What a sight to see!
Then around noon, my daughter and I went down to clean the box & refresh with nesting material. She opened the top of the box, looked inside and found what you see in the attached photo.....4 newborn squirrels & remaining duck eggs.
All this happened in a couple of hours apart...Unbelievable!
